Food serving at the stand
Tasting your own food at the booth is allowed, provided that you notify the restaurateur Finnresta with a waiver form and, if necessary, the food control authorities.
Regarding the food handled at the booth, food legislation and general hygiene guidelines must be followed. Notification to Finnresta or the food control authorities is not required if it concerns a small amount of, for example, wrapped candies, cookies or other pastries, chips, coffee, etc. Please refer to the instructions below for filling out the waiver form and notifying the food control authorities.
Notification to Food Control Authorities
If the activity is low-risk, takes place in the same premises as the operator's other activities, the operator is a private individual, or the activity cannot be considered a business, notification of the food premises is not required. The smallest operators, such as private individuals or hobby clubs with minimal food sales or service, are therefore exempt from the notification obligation. Food business operators still have a duty to ensure self-monitoring. Mobile food premises must notify the food premises activity once to the authority of the municipality where they start the activity or where the activity has previously been notified. After that, they must inform the authorities of the municipalities where the activity is conducted at least four days before starting the activity.
Waiver Clause for Finnresta
Please refer to the instructions on food tasting and, if necessary, fill out the waiver form for Finnresta. Also, read the waiver clause below before filling out the form.
With this notification, the responsibility of Finland Restaurants for complying with and monitoring the food law regarding the serving of food at the booth is transferred to the notifier. The notifier agrees to comply with food legislation and general hygiene guidelines. Additionally, the notifier considers all general requirements applicable to food business operators, such as liability issues and food traceability, in their activities and monitoring. This agreement entitles the notifier to offer small food samples and sell packaged takeaway products. This agreement does not entitle the preparation of food or the sale of food to be consumed on-site (except for ice cream).
Please also note that Finland Restaurants has the right to serve alcohol throughout the Tampere Exhibition and Sports Center area, so bringing or consuming your own alcoholic beverages in the exhibition area is not permitted under Finnish alcohol legislation.
It is also possible to order all food and drinks offered at the stand from Finnresta.
